If you wish to compare an ELBL file with an LBLS file (see Table 8.3), you should really have the LBLS data reprocessed. Since this option is no longer available, you can use MODLBL to convert one of the files so that it has the same format as the other:
|The name of the file to be converted.
|The name of the output file to be written. On VMS systems only, this may be a blank space--a new version of IMAGET will be created if so.
This program will convert ELBL files to LBLS files by adding adjacent lines together (not by averaging them). It will convert LBLS files to ELBL files by doubling each line. LWP data have the line orders reversed (because the LBLS format differed from the ELBL format in this way. The .lab file is not altered--values in line 1 of the label will reflect the size of the unconverted file. However, IUEDAC routines rarely use this information.
ESSR files (see Table 8.3) should also have been reprocessed. Failing that, the user may need to correct SWP ESSR data for an error in the early ITF:
Aperture will be either 1 (large aperture) or 2 (small aperture). This procedure corrects the file IMAGET without writing a new file.
