The Panoramic Survey Telescope & Rapid Response System (Pan-STARRS) is a wide-field imaging facility developed at the University of Hawaii's Institute for Astronomy, with the primary goal of discovering and characterizing Earth-approaching objects, both asteroids & comets, that might pose a danger to our planet. Pan-STARRS Data Release 2 (DR2) Information:On Jan 28, 2019 MAST (Mikulski Archive for Space Telescope) released the second edition of data from PanSTARRS. This second release (PS1 DR2) contains over 1.6 petabytes of data, making it the largest volume of astronomical information ever released.
