MAST Staff - 2025 Jul 28Reprocessed data from TESS Sectors 48-65 are now available at MAST. Sectors 66+ are not impacted.
Starting in sector 48, an iterative Contrending Basis Vector (CBV) selection algorithm was added to the processing pipeline. It achieved its intended goal of excluding light curves that could introduce astrophysical features into CBVs; however, the selection was too aggressive, resulting in a fewer basis vectors and a loss of photometric precision. The CBV ensemble selection algorithm was updated for sectors > 66, solving this issue. Sectors 48-65 have now been reprocessed with the updated selection algorithm and are available in MAST.
